Someone advertised a runner for a mission that I was having problems completing on masters so I decided why not. Well the guy asked for half at the beginning of the mission then ran. How can I report him? The /report function requires I be in the same district as him.

I didn't claim it to be my best decision ever, and I was weary of it to start with, just annoyed there's not something I can do about it.

A.net has never done anything for running scams/trade scams. Buyer beware.

Nope, just one of those things you have to live with. It sucks but its part of the game.

Aye. I don't bother usually with running, it just seems lame to me (like seeing lvl 8's at the ring of fire), but I did get one character run through Thirsty River once (it's damn hard sometimes to find a competent PuG).

When trying to get a runner NEVER pay up front. Pay at the first outpost between runs (when getting town-to-town runs). If it is a Mission, only pay once the mish is complete. If the runner refuses, then don't pay him. Any and all competent runners know that you don't get paid until you finish the job.

Support through the website is a good way to report them if they aren't in your district. Just need screenies, time, date, ect.

a lot of times runners will ask you to show them the money in trade before starting then ask for payment once finished. seems to work for me.
